At Aviela Parrots, we are dedicated to the health and well-being of our birds and to providing a secure, transparent purchasing experience for our customers. Please read our payment policy carefully. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
To ensure safety and security, Aviela Parrots accepts the following payment methods:
- Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover.
- Secure Online Payments: Apple Pay, Google Pay.
- Bank Transfers (EFT): Available upon request.
- PayPal: Secure payment checkout.
- Cash: Only for in-person local pickups at our approved location.
Note: We do NOT accept gift cards, cryptocurrency, or Western Union/wire transfers to non-business accounts.
2. Deposits and Holding a Bird
To reserve a parrot, a non-refundable deposit is required (usually 50% of the total price).
- What the Deposit Covers: It guarantees the bird is held for you and covers initial weaning and socialization care.
- Non-Refundable: If you cancel the order, the deposit is forfeited.
- Exceptions: If Aviela Parrots cannot provide the bird due to health reasons (vetted by our avian veterinarian), the deposit will be refunded in full.
3. Final Payment Terms
- Weaned Babies: Full payment must be received and cleared before the bird is shipped or picked up.
- Payment Plan Birds: If a baby is still hand-feeding, a deposit holds it, with the balance due before shipping or at pickup.
- Shipping Costs: The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges, including flight, travel crate, and health certificates.
- Finalization: A purchase contract must be signed and submitted before the final payment is finalized.
4. Payment Security & Scams
Aviela Parrots cares about your security. Scammers in the pet industry often ask for “Friends & Family” payments to avoid consumer protection laws.
- We will NEVER ask you to pay via Zelle/PayPal Friends and Family to a private email address.
- We will NEVER ask for additional “insurance fees” or “temperature-controlled crate fees” after the initial purchase price is agreed upon.
5. Refunds and Returns
- Live Animal Sales: All live bird sales are final. Because we cannot risk the health of our flock by accepting a bird back into our aviary, we do not accept returns.
- Products: Non-living products (cages, toys, food) can be returned within 7 days if they are unused and in original packaging.
6. Delayed Collection Policy
If a bird is paid in full but not picked up or scheduled for shipping within 14 days of notification that the bird is ready, a boarding fee of $[X] per day will apply. If not picked up within 30 days, the bird will be offered to another buyer, and funds paid may be forfeited, minus boarding costs.
