Payment Policy – Aviela Parrots

At Aviela Parrots, we take the placement of our feathered companions seriously. We ensure all birds are well-socialized and healthy before they go to their new homes. To maintain a secure environment and to ensure serious inquiries, we have implemented the following payment policies. By placing a deposit or purchasing a bird, you agree to these terms.
 
1. Deposits and Reserving a Parrot
Due to high demand, we cannot hold or reserve a bird without a deposit.
  • Deposit Amount: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total price is required to reserve a baby bird.
  • Purpose: The deposit secures your chosen bird and covers boarding, feeding, and socialization until weaning.
  • Non-Refundable Clause: Deposits are non-refundable. If you change your mind, the deposit is forfeited. However, if Aviela Parrots cannot provide the bird due to unexpected circumstances (e.g., health issues), the deposit will be refunded in full.
 
2. Payment Terms
  • Full Payment: All birds must be paid in full before they are picked up, shipped, or delivered.
  • Weaning Timeframe: The remaining balance is due when the bird is fully weaned and ready for its new home. We will notify you when your baby is ready.
  • Forfeiture: If final payment is not made within 14 days of notification that the bird is weaned, the reservation may be cancelled, and the bird will be offered to another buyer. All previous payments will be forfeited.
 
3. Accepted Payment Methods
To ensure safety for both parties and to prevent scams, we accept the following payment methods:
  • Zelle
  • Bank Transfer (ACH)
  • Credit/Debit Cards (Please note: A small surcharge may apply for card transactions).
  • Cash (Only for in-person pick-ups)
Note: Due to high fraud rates, we do not accept personal checks or money orders.
 
4. Shipping and Additional Charges
  • Shipping Fees: Shipping costs (including flight, carrier, and health certificates) are not included in the price of the bird and must be paid in full prior to shipping.
  • DNA Sexing: If DNA sexing is requested, a fee of $35.00 will be added to the total cost.
 
5. Cancellation Policy
  • Buyer Cancellation: If you choose to cancel your order, the deposit is forfeited.
  • Seller Cancellation: In the rare event that Aviela Parrots must cancel the sale due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the bird’s health, we will refund all money paid, including the deposit.
 
6. Guarantee
Aviela Parrots provides a 72-hour health guarantee from the time of pickup or delivery. We highly recommend having the bird checked by an avian veterinarian within this timeframe.
 
By proceeding with a transaction with Aviela Parrots, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Payment Policy.
